Debo, a handsome 2-year old American Bulldog mix, visited us to treat pulpitis of his lower right canine tooth. Pulpitis occurs when there is bleeding and inflammation within the pulp cavity, the tooth appears discolored, and eventually the tooth dies. It is a very common condition in dogs, and often occurs secondary to trauma, such as playing tug games with toys. A root canal was performed on Debo’s tooth, and the tooth was restored with a metal crown. Debo is happy and feeling much better!
